Kyneton Fire Brigade is made up of local people with a passion for our local communities, but not everyone wants to fight fires. The Brigade also provides medical responses, community education and there are opportunities in fire equipment maintenance as well as fire safety training.

OPERATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS
Operational firefighters receive specialist training, including some national certifications. Kyneton Brigade responds to building fires, grass and bush fires, road crashes and supporting Ambulance Victoria medical responses.
Some Brigade members prefer not to attend some incidents, and there is extensive support for all members and families. Operational firefighters do need to be fit and be willing to undertake training programs. All protective clothing is supplied to members. Find out more here

NON-OPERATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS
There are so many ‘behind-the-scenes’ things that keep the Brigade running and people wishing to help the Brigade serve the community are always welcome. As well as safety education, fire equipment servicing and keeping equipment maintained, the Brigade also has needs for help with its website, supporting our juniors, fundraising and help with occasional catering and housekeeping during large fire events.
